What the world of Marketing is coming to..

Talk about changes in the marketplace!  Have you looked at the big picture lately?

The generational change in America over the past few years has been nothing short of amazing.  Do you really know how deep these changes are and the impact it is having on the world today.  While politics seems  more polarized than ever, it’s not really about politics but about changes in our basic behaviour.  Subtle changes that you never saw coming.

Did your Dad go to work for one company and put all his faith and trust in it, including the ability to retire?  That’s what so many of us saw but now that we are the ones close to getting that retirement check, is it everything it was supposed to be.  Still wondering if your next promotion depends on the guy ahead of you getting fired.  Still wondering if the company will continue funding your pension.  Worse, wondering if the company will even be here to pay that pension when you retire.

Let’s look at the current situation for workers in America:

Can you imagine having a business that lets you decide your own working hours, the people you work with and an unlimited freedom to earn.  We’re seeing an economy that’s never been felt by the current generation of workers.  They have never seen one of every ten people out of work.  And it is driving many of them to reconsider the long-term ramifications.

Direct Marketing has gone by many names in the past.  But the new Direct Marketing is the wave of the future.   To coin a phrase: “This is where it’s at!!”

Driven partly by the economy and more by how a company sees itself growing, it has fueled an entirely new entrepreneur.  Compensation plans are redesigned, products are streamlined, and opportunities abound with an internet presence.

It’s an ever-changing scene:

There is an interesting thing happening across America.  As the economy took a downturn, people  showed initiative and struck out on their own; taking the risk of being small business owners.    And no matter what type of business it may be – a neighborhood pizza shop, a dress boutique and engineering firm, roofing – you name it, they all have some things in common….they are joining the millions who are the backbone of America.

No matter what type of business they have, the small business owners are the ones behind the scenes making it all work.  They are the ones doing the unglamorous things like staying up and working 20 hours a day to because things have to get done.  And no matter what type of small business, the same things worry and motivate the owners:  Can I do this?  Am I okay? Will this work?  How can I make this work?  Can I feed my family?  Can my employees feed their families?

It’s the American Dream, to start something from nothing, make into a business to be proud of and to pass the business on to another generation.  It’s the satisfaction that can only come from rolling up your sleeves and working.  Not since the Great Depression has this country seen such an increase in new small business – thus showing the American spirit and ingenuity can never be underestimated.  It’s a wonderful experience just to be a part of this.

It Just SEEMS Like Brain Surgery

Since it looks like we really are in a recession – regardless of what they call it! – it only makes sense to work with it.  So let’s explore ways to be effective and efficient and survive these turbulent times.  Advertising in a down economy doesn’t really have to be brain surgery!

The first thing you probably noticed was that your customers attitudes changed during the downturn.  They suddenly wanted more for less.  As a business owner, you were expected to still provide the best product and the best service but at a reduced rate.  Everyone is looking for a way to save and make their money go further.  They are watching their pennies more than ever before.

Any they are the only ones watching you, your competitors are also.  They want to know if you are making the best deals, getting deals and learn about what you are focused on.  Now this is where you can get ahead in the competition game.  Lots of businesses will make the mistake of cutting way back on advertising and promotions.  You, on the other hand,  maintain your advertising and promotions.  When the customer is shopping, who is he going to find?  You who are still advertising or your competitor who is not?

It only makes sense to attract those customers who are still shopping even in downtimes and make them a loyal customer when good times return.

Another fact is that during times like these more people shop online.  It’s simple, it saves on gas and sometimes it’s fun to window shop from your easy chair.  So you must be there when they shop – whether they actually purchase online or find your physical location and stop in.  And don’t worry, your CPA will love online advertising as it creates your greatest ROI, Return On Investment.
Working with Prosperity Forever, Inc. can help you build a business online or off, attract customers, and assist you in securing your financial future.  Contact us for more information HaveProsperityForever@gmail.com

Your Opportunity may be a Fake Nose and Mustache

Maybe you haven’t felt lucky in a long while. Just reading the current news can make you feel like no one is. But that’s not necessarily true. Think about when you heard someone say “People make their own luck” or “the harder I work, the luckier I get”. Those are real sentiments by real people and they can be really true.

So why are some people lucky? How does luck happen to come along? Can something cause luck to be pinpointed? What makes lucky people different from unlucky people? And where’s that darn rabbit foot anyway?

There was a book written years ago in which the author talked to a lot of people, those who considered themselves lucky and those who didn’t. He asked what had happened in their lives, and he kept a chronicle of their “lucky” situations. Then he looked at how they were different and decided on the following:

Luck is NOT random. Now folks, this is an earth shattering notion. But here’s how he explains it….it’s the result of what he called the spider web effect. People who build webs tend to be lucky. People who don’t build webs tend not to be lucky. Now suppose we call those webs ‘networks’. Can you see where… the more contacts you make in life … the more relationships you build … the fewer bridges you burn … the greater the universe of people who have strong positive feeling for you … the more people you reach out to help … the more likely you are to be lucky?

Well, I have to say I found this amazing. He proved what others had said “You make your own Luck”! And you know what is really amazing about that – anyone can do it! Just think about it, spend a little time cultivating friends, network with potential business partners, create online acquaintances….all areas in which you build your contacts. Do this on a regular basis and the LUCK will come. You won’t be able to stop it. It will just happen. Are you ready for it to happen to you?

We work everyday building luck for people. Visit us for more information on how to get lucky.

So you want guarantees!

Are you looking for a guarantee? Something for sure. Something you can count on. We have a guarantee. It says we will place your business website on the first page of Google within seven days of submitting your application or your money back or you get the month free, your choice! Does that guarantee sound like a guarantee you could live with?

There are several uses of the word “guarantee” in today’s parlance. It could be an agreement by which one person undertakes to secure another in the possession or enjoyment of something. Or it could be the assurance of quality or the length of use to be expected from a product offered for sale. So a guarantee is an assurance of a specific outcome.

Every business needs to have exposure on the web in today’s marketing environment. In the last 15 years, the internet has changed completely the way we do business. Roadblocks like the declining market in the print advertising world, the DoNotCall phone list, and the strict spamming laws are constricting where and how we can get our message out. Two thirds of people go on the internet to find their local business. And they search because they intend to buy.

What do they find when they get there? 44% of small businesses in the US do not even have a website. And if they do have a website, most have no strategy to drive traffic to it. They don’t have the site optimized for search engines and worst of all, they don’t have the time or training to figure it all out.

So what is the small business owner to do? That’s where we come in. Businesses want to be on the web to attract local business, they want it affordable, they want it easy and, guess what, they want it guaranteed.

Let me give you a couple of scenarios and see what guarantee you would like to have when building your presence on the web. Let’s compare internet advertising to advertising on a billboard. That’s a little easier to get your mind around than imaging the 30 billion searches on the web. Would you like to be guaranteed your ad would show up on that specific billboard all the time, every day, for one flat fee? Sounds pretty good, right? Now suppose that billboard is on Hwy. 2 in the most rural area you can imagine with one car per day for traffic. Oops, it was guaranteed, wasn’t it? And you got what you paid for.

Now we know advertising on the internet isn’t like that. It’s more like a billboard on the busiest stretch of highway in New York City. Well, to get that guarantee to have your ad on that billboard every day, all day for one flat rate just isn’t affordable for most of us. And besides, just how many people could be on the first page of Google at one time anyway.

So we take that busy billboard site and put multiple ads on it. We guarantee your ad will be seen every day at some point. No one can tell you exactly when with the millions of clicks every minute going on but you can feel a lot more sure that it will be seen by lots of people than that billboard on Hwy. 2.

So give that some thought when planning your next advertising campaign. Watch out for the real ‘guarantees’ and don’t let what you want something to be to get in the way of looking at the facts.

The easiest and most affordable way to advertise your local business online

The internet has always had the promise of connecting customers to businesses but until now this has maily benefited large companies or businesses who wanted national exposure. LocalAdLink gives your local, brick and mortar business the ability to get online, get online fast and make an explosive impact on your visibility.

Did you know that 63% of consumers search for local businesses and services online before they purchase? The localization of the internet has arrived. Are you ready to use it?

LocalAdLink uses a brand new, geo-targeting technology which determines the physical location of a website visitor and delivers targeted content to that visitor based on their location. Now, when someone searches for pizza, they find the nearest pizza shop right in their neighborhood!

The revolutionary part of LocalAdLink is that we take your business listing and push it out onto the web. What does this mean for you? Well, we’re not just sitting back and waiting for people to visit. We are pro-activity pushing your listing out through our partner websites. Your listing can be seen on some of the most popular sites, search engines and social networks in America. This is huge. For a small part of your advertising dollar (and a lot less hassle than print media), you get tremendous exposure which translates into active traffic. And you can track the results right on your own website.

You can publicize your own website links or, if you do not have a website, you can have your listing personalized in detail to reflect exactly what your business is all about. Either way, it’s targeted traffic with visible results.

LocalAdLink offers a variety of advertising packages to fit your business needs. All packages come with no set up fees, no contracts and results are completely trackable. You can even have a free listing which will add you into the data base of over 14 million businesses nationwide and will include your business name, complete address, and phone number.

The most comprehensive advertising package includes a website link; “Featured Business” status; Multiple Photos of your business; the ability to target up to 50 zip codes; three terms for use when consumers are surfing; you may create or upload coupons; you can upload and show videos right on your listing as well as having the listing pushed to web and displayed on search engines and social networks across the internet.

Other packages allow a smaller number of zip codes to be included and limit the number of search terms. There is a package that can be tailored for every business need and budget.

Look into this new concept in internet advertising for your local business. You will be amazed at the results.
